Water Testing

Know Your Water Before You Treat It

Every recommendation starts with testing. We assess your water on-site and coordinate lab testing when needed.

Diagnosis First

The Right System Starts with the Right Test

We don't recommend systems based on assumptions. Our in-home water assessment tests for the parameters that matter most for your water source — whether that's municipal city water or a private well.

For city water, we test hardness, TDS, chlorine levels, pH, and other indicators that determine the right softener and filtration configuration. For well water, we expand testing to include iron, sulfur, sediment, and other parameters specific to your well.

When the situation calls for it — bacteria concerns, nitrate, lead, or specific contamination questions — we coordinate certified laboratory testing. UF/IFAS notes that their field tests help diagnose household issues but bacteriological or potability questions belong with the health department or certified labs.

On-Site Field Testing

Included with every free in-home assessment:

  • Water hardness (grains per gallon)
  • Total dissolved solids (TDS)
  • pH level
  • Chlorine / chloramine presence
  • Iron content (well water)
  • Sulfur detection (well water)

Certified Lab Testing

Coordinated when needed for:

  • Bacteria (coliform / E. coli)
  • Nitrate / nitrite
  • Lead
  • Specific contaminant concerns
  • Real estate transactions
  • Health department requirements
